Unable to override custumDataView.tpl

Assuming all template files can be overidden:

I'm trying to override CRM\Custom\Page\CustomDataView.tpl.
The amended file is located in the proper dir (civicrm_custom\CRM\Custom\Page) but does not engage.

The template files are flushed properly.
Am I missing out something?

Re this path:

civicrm_custom\CRM\Custom\Page

Did you configure it in the administration area?

Hello Eileen,

I was working on a copy (site_copy) of my production site (site) but failed to changed the directories in the admin area.
This also solved some mysterious chache problems.
Thanks for pointing me into the right direction
