no success installing CiviCRM 2.2.2 on Joomla 1.5

Even using a dedicated Ubuntu 8.1 server with full root access I was still not able to get CiviCRM 2.2.2 installed on Joomla 1.5.
Net result was rm -r Joomla.

Install was successful without even a hiccup on Drupal V6. This is where it will now live.

Need to get the Joomla install working a little better  :'(

Can you give more details about errors / reasons why your installation fails?
