CiviEvents in Drupal Calendar - Works Great!

Hi,

After a lot of patching, based on the excellent work of jalama, i now have CiviEvents working in a View using the Calendar display type. It works great!!

Just wanted to get this bumped, b/c i know a number of you were looking for this.

All of Jim's (jalama)'s patches are now checked into 2.2 svn. It will be part of 2.2.3

we're still in Alpha, but it's looking pretty good.

(update; i'm removing the link as we are still in testing; will repost when we go live. 6/20/09)

would be great if you could do a short writeup of what was required to combine everything and how you got that nice Upcoming Events block :)

would also be awesome if you can write a case study of how BayNVC uses CiviCRM :) Seems like you'll are using quite a bit of the functionality. the case studies page is here:

I'd be interested in hearing how you got your links to go to the relevant civievent pages. I used the new date wizard to get a date contact type working (as outlined in instructions elsewhere here) but can't figure out how to get the links to go anywhere except the popup document produced. I'm sure there's a simple solution, but for the life of it, I can't figure it out, and your solution works really well!

Do you mind if I ask you if you had civiCRM on the same database as Drupal? I have it in a separate database, and I couldn't get it to work so far.

i do have them in separate db's. i'm thinking that's not the issue.

what doesn't seem to be working right.

it's a very finicky process. did you apply all the patches?
