What are the chances of being able to somehow setup multiple copies of Authorize.net for different chapters? (using different names of course... Authorize.net Org1, Authorize.net Org2, etc)

As it stands at this point, CiviCRM does not actively support multiple payment gateways of the same type. Say, for example, we wanted one chapter event registrations to go through their own Authorize.net account.

Any thoughts?

This will need to be a change in the core code base to enable a different payment processor for each contribution/event/member page. This has been discussed in the past on the mailing list.

We dont think it going to be a major endeavor to do this. The code is well structured to handle this. The major issue will be in allowing the Config object to register the username/password/key of multiple processors.

You might want to consider donating a resource to do the below. You could also hire a developer / contract this work out. I estimate this will take between 50-100 hours of work. Let me know if this is a feasible option, we'd be happy to help your developer upto speed etc
