Fine grained permissions for CiviEvent - module available
May 13, 2009, 04:46:41 pm
We've written a Drupal module to provide additional permission controls for CiviEvent.

It uses Drupal hooks and Javascript, so no hacks to CiviCRM core are required. However, It may not work as well with future versions of CiviCRM.

It's currently available here:

Hi Matt,

Based on your forum posts & twitter feed you have made quite a few modules that you have written available to the CiviCRM community (Yay you).

But, I couldn't find any links to them from your site or any list anywhere. I'm wondering if you might consider posting one or directing me to one if one exists?

On a broader note I am aware that there are others (e.g. Dharmatech) who have also written modules that are freely available to the community but not something people can easily find out about. I guess both Joomla & Drupal have directories of contributed modules - perhaps it is something that CiviCRM should have too?
Make today the day you step up to support CiviCRM and all the amazing organisations that are using it to improve our world - http://civicrm.org/contribute

I had volunteered to create an Ubercart.org-style contributions directory on civicrm.org.

That was pending the Drupal 6 upgrade for civicrm.org , which I believe has been done for some time.

If the civicrm.org admins can make sure Views & CCK modules are enabled, and grant me sufficient privileges to create Views and Content types, I will create the directory.
