View Optouts and Unsubscribes

Howdy.
Using 2.2.2 - Great work everyone  :)

I cant seem to find where to view optouts and or unsubscribes in one central place, or anywhere.

I have one contact who has opted out (flagged '1' for 'is_opt_out' in 'civicrm_contact' table) and one who has do not mail (flagged '1' for 'do_not_mail' in 'civicrm_contact' table) but I cant find anywhere in the user interface that reflects those opt outs, unsubscribes, can anyone shed some light on this please?

A person who has opted out should have 'Do Not Mail' on their summary screen. A person who has unsubscribed should have a 'removed from group' entry on their groups screen

(Excellent book and good work, the flossmanuals format is very readable and well laid out imo... congrats to the Book Sprint crew :) )

Thanks Eileen, the section titled "Email Formats" has a screenshot of what looks to be where I could see the info I need but that does not display in my user contact summary.

For the opted out and unsubscribed user they both have (Bulk Mailings) next to their email address.

If the record is actually opted out, you'll see it under their communication preferences which is visible on a contact's summary page.

The attached screenshot shows someone with their email checked as "bulk email" and they have opted out.  If you don't see communication preferences, you may need to check your site preferences under administer civicrm >> global settings >> site preferences

BTW, you can create a smart group of everyone who has opted out in search builder. Enter individuals where No Bulk emails (opt-out) = 1 and save the results as a smart group.

Hmm - I think your screenshot, Tony, would be better in the book than the one that is in there since it obviously clarifies the point yogibear was interested in. If I get a chance I'll see whether I can swap it in without ruining the flow

 (For those not involved in the Sprint - ongoing edits can be made to the book but they will be vetted before publishing to the static html / pdf/ printed book formats)
