Restricting user access to profile listings
May 15, 2009, 12:48:14 am
Hi,

I set up Drupla+CiviCRM and defined a custom profile to collect additional information for registered users. However, apparently when enabling "profile listings and forms" in Drupal permissions for my users, I created an ability for them to list ALL previously registered accounts/profiles.

Is there a way to permit (even not yet registered) user to edit/modify his own profile, but disallow listing of all other profiles?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried various settings of Visibility for the given profile’s fields?

When you edit a profile, you have the option to set this particular profile’s fields’ visibility (Name and Address profile on demo – look at the ‘Visibility’ column).

You can try tweaking these so that they only show to ‘User and User Admin Only’.
