Using Contact Activities
May 20, 2009, 02:01:08 pm
We are setting up our groups and contacts, and have tested it out a little.

One question that I have...if you schedule an activity, is there a way that this ties into a calendar ie: Outlook or something?  I also don't see any type of canendar that I can find in Civi to really use as a task manager, but I know it's something I must just be missing.

Thanks in advanc for your help!

Hmm - there is a way to display Civi stuff in a  Drupal calendar but you are on Joomla. I think the answer is probably no

So, before I really start to input or import our contact info, it most likely won't fit my needs.  There is no work-around for this?   Hmmm...really didn't want to search for another module.

Note that we are considering having an iCal feed for activities (for a client project). this might potentially make it into 2.3

however you would still need an iCal display module within joomla (not sure if one exists)

sorry, we let the community play the lead with CMS specific components. So would be great for you (or someone from joomla community) to step up rather than just wish for it  :P
