Mailings not getting sent

Hi.

My client (CiviCRM 2.0.4 on Drupal 5) is trying to sent out mailings with CiviMail, but they just show in the list as 'Scheduled' and are never sent.
Test mailings work, so at least my mail server settings would seem to be correct.

Any idea what could be going wrong, or where to start looking?

1. do you have the cronjob enabled and working: civimail.cronjob.php

2. if that is not working, do mailings get sent out via the url: q=civicrm/mailing/queue&reset=1

if test mailings are going out, it does mean the mailing path is working

Drupal cron is running -- does civiCRM have its own cron?

Thanks for the link -- that makes it all clear.

Any plans to use Drupal's hook_cron to make this easier?

currently no. But a patch (to 2.2/2.3) to do so will be appreciated by other folks
