Apache +mod_suphp + CiviCRM =?

I am contemplating compiling Apache on my server with mod_suphp, for greater security.

Are there any considerations or potential pitfalls to consider with CiviCRM & suphp?

I can’t think of any, assuming the host CMS (Drupal/Joomla!) is running under the same user. Do let us know if you happen to run into any issues (and remember that if you have any static content in HTML files, this content will be served by the default Apache user, as it won’t go through mod_suphp).
If you found the above helpful, please consider helping us in return – you can even steer CiviCRM’s future and help us extend CiviCRM in ways useful to you.

DharmaTech ran our server that way for a while, with a Unix username for each of our clients and the Drupal and CiviCRM code running as that user, for greater security.  It worked fine but then we evolved toward the VPS approach which gives even greater independence between the various clients' installations.
