Database planning for CivilCRM
August 03, 2007, 05:33:57 am
Dear Forum helpers

I want to record the timesheet of  my all staffs in small firm (8 -10 staffs), that includes:

1. start time:
2. finish time:
3. out-door time (when they need to go for duty)
4. Customer's address that is necessary for technicians to report where/when they serve.
5. In-Office time
6. Total working hours per day
7. Total working hours perweek
8. Over time per day
9. overtime per week
10. Extra-reports by technicians

Can I use CivilCRM integrated in Joomla to handle these jobs? and every technician can self-report when finish their out-door service and go home directly with no necessity of being back to office!

Please help me an idea!. I have just known a valued program CRM so I am quite interested in if it can work out this show case!

Thanks and best regards,
D. Phan

Hey,

Theoretically you can set up custom fields relating to all the information that you enumerate and use CiviReport (available in 1.8) to prepare summary reports. Please use our demo (http://demo.civicrm.org) and documentation (http://documentation.civicrm.org) to get familiar with details here.

However, I personally would rather use some specialised time tracking software. Less customisation, less hacking, and you'll probably get what you need out of the box.

Thx,
m

hey,

Yes, i do agree with Michal. Looking at your requirements, i guess should go for much sophisticated PMS tools such as dotproject http://www.dotproject.net/
