I have CiviCRM 2.2.2 installed on Joomla 1.5.10. I have added a menu item for CiviCRM | Profiles | Edit to allow registered users to update their CiviCRM profile. After clicking the save button on the profile form, the post-update form displays a link (Back to Listings) at the bottom left corner. If a user clicks that link, they are taken to a search results page that lists everyone in the database.

In my particular case, this is highly undesirable. I have a custom field that allows an individual or household to opt-out of the directory listings on the website. The Back to Listings link circumvents that field and allows any registered user to view the profile of any contact in the database.

Is there a simple way to remove this link from the page without sacrificing functionality elsewhere? Alternatively, is there a way to force the link to display something else instead (say a Smart Group that uses the custom field)?

Okay, so I followed the instructions from http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Customize+Built-in,+Profile,+Contribution+and+Event+Registration+Screens and despite my best efforts, the site still pulls the default page when called. The page I'm trying to modify is the CRM/Profile/Page/Listings.php. I just need to remove the "View" link from the presentation. Any ideas?
