[SOLVED] Making a group of contacts who have a relationship with certain orgs

Is there a way to create a group of all individuals who have a certain relationship with some organization? We have several schools with each school having different holidays and we want to grab a list of students based on those holidays. So I thought we would do a search for schools with a certain type of holiday schedule, then we'd build a group that consisted of the contacts who were associated with those schools.

Problem is that we can't search for individuals based on custom data that's associated with orgs. I expected to search for custom data (holidays) and have it return a list of schools with those holidays (which it did), but then be able to pull up a list of all the members of that school so that we can send them an email. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to get a single list of all the members of multiple schools at once.

Any idea what I can do to get this?

If you have a developer I think a Custom Search could be built in an afternoon.  If not, what about doing a search for individuals with relationship to X School via Advanced Search and saving that as a smart group?  Unless you have a ton of schools, it could be done in under half an hour.

If it works out for you, I recommend changing your post title to say [SOLVED] at the beginning so other folks can find it when searching the forums.
