G'day Guys,

This is my first post, and I am fairly new to CiviCRM. I am from Australia, setting up CiviCRM for a youth organisation.

So far I have done pretty much all the implementation part, but now I am stuck at setting a password for signup page. without a username, password the the members/registrants have to enter their personal details every time they register or contribute.

I am not sure if this topic has been already discussed here, if so please point me to the right thread, if not please assist me in solving this problem.

I was having the same trouble and found this thread.

Am posting incase the following helps anyone else. I am not sure if this is the best way, but it is the way I figured out

When creating your profile, on the advanced settings section (hidden section, click link to show), for the User Account Registration options, select "Account creation required".

Nothing will seem to happen, and when you View Form nothing will have appeared to happened. However, when you view the form in a live situation, you will see the CMS account creation fields (on Joomla at least).

Hope this helps some and saves some initial frustration.
