Page not found error accessing
May 31, 2009, 03:56:56 am
Hi forum members,

after following the drupal security advice in the status report to secure "sites/default" and "sites/default/settings.php" I can't access anymore:

# Contacts
# Groups
# Import
# CiviContribute
# CiviPledge
# CiviMail
# CiviMember
# CiviEvent
# CiviCRM Admin

I am constantly getting "page not found" errors. The only access I get is to the CIVICRM dashboard. It didn't help to reset the permissions and i am not able to change the permissions of civicrm.settings.php

Before the change everything worked perfectly and all sections have been accessable.

I am using

Civicrm: 2.2.5
Drupal 6.12
Mysql 5
PHP 5.2.9

Any help?

Thanks
Franzkraut

A bit puzzled by this. I would expect to see permissions errors on the CiviCRM settings file (sites/default/civicrm.settings.php) if the webserver was having problems w/ the permissions changes you made.

You could try running CiviCRM's menu rebuild, navigate to this URL:

http://<your site>/?q=civicrm/menu/rebuild&reset=1

If this doesn't help, I guess I would step back to the condition where CiviCRM pages are working, and then make the changes again one step at a time until you see where things break.

For what it's worth, I had this exact same problem and had a hell of a night trying to track it down (I thought it was drupal for the first half).  Your fix, Lobo, made it work though I don't understand why.

I upgraded Drupal 6 to CiviCRM 2.2 and "Page Not Found" errors occured on every page that anonymous users would interface with CiviCRM.  This fixed it.
