Checking email (inbound)
August 05, 2007, 01:04:00 pm
Hello,

I feel silly asking this, but I can't figure out where the menu item to Check Inbound Email is, and any config settings there might be..... Check email every 30 minutes, check email now

thanks

CiviCRM does not do any inbound mail processing. CiviMail does do some automated inbound mail processing for unsubscribe/optout but that is more on the perl/amavisd side rather than on CiviCRM's side

Hello Donald,

Well no wonder I couldn't find the controls.

Its great to know I sent something. but if the issue requires several back and forth emails, in order to close a deal or to resolve an issue. The entire history would need to be followed.

Don, you're the man. What are other users doing to manage the flow of two way communications?

thanks

There has been sporadic talk about this in the past. The most recent one being:

http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,796.msg3234.html#msg3234

You might want to consider implementing something that meets your needs and requirements
