Install Redirects to Control Panel
June 02, 2009, 03:49:37 am
Problem: Unable to install Civicrm on a shared server with Joomla 1.5.10 installed.

When installing from a package file (civicrm-2.2.5-joomla) on the extension manager page, the process seems to move along for several seconds before dumping me back on the Joomla Control Panel page.

I also attempted to install by extracting the com_civicrm folder, uploading it to my tmp directory and attempting to install from a directory.  This also does not work and in this case I receive an error message of: "Please enter a package directory".

I am using MySQL 5.0.45, Perl 5.8.8, PHP 5.25.

My php.ini file is attached.

I am experiencing the exact same problem as the user here:
http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,7973.msg34552.html#msg34552

his solution has not worked, is there another suggestion out there?
