Unlinking a Profile from Drupal User Pages
June 03, 2009, 09:54:38 am
In creating a profile, I chose the options to have it part of the Drupal registration. And then the contents of the form show up on user pages where the user can edit that information.

I'm moving in a different direction with client now torward forms that aren't tied to Drupal registration. I've unchecked the relevant boxes on the profile settings... but the profiles will not disappear from Drupal /user pages. This is true even for users registering after I unlinked them. Note: the user registration form for a new user now no longer shows that form at registration. But it is still showing up on the person's /user page.

Tell me how I can completely get rid of those profiles.

Thanks,

Shai

Disabling the profile worked for getting it off the Drupal user pages. It'll be much faster for me to rebuild it from scratch than continue troubleshooting it. ::)

Duhh, Arghh, I feel so stupid. Simply unchecking the "View/Edit User Account" totally unlinked it. I think what would be clearer would be, "View/Edit from Drupal User Account."

best,

Shai

Good suggestion - I've modified those labels for the 2.3 release:
[ ] Drupal User Registration
[ ] View/Edit Drupal User Account
