I believe so. I do have code for First Data Global Gateway - I will post a link on the other thread on First Data. It needs live testing.

I think yourpay is just another name for the same thing

Eileen,

I'm working with a non-profit and we have First Data, but we would like to use their Connect interface to avoid capturing any payment data on our site. Can you provide any pointers as to how to develop a plugin to integrate with this type of payment processor?

The First Data Connect model is straightforward: you post your "order" info to the First Data URL, First Data collects the payment info and then posts back to a pre-configured Confirmation or Error URL.

We'd like to use this in the CiviContribute module, but it seems like most payment processor are collecting the data on the site so they are not good candidates for cloning. I can't find much by way of howto documentation for building a payment processor plugin for this mode of operation, but maybe I'm not looking in the right places?

Same boat here.  Looking for "First Data Global Gateway Connect" plugin...  if anyone has started it or completed it let me know... If you are interested in obtaining it PM me, I'm going to develop it if I can't find it.

Cheers!

PaymentExpress payment processor uses the 'notify' mode that you are describing so it is a reasonable model

That is good to know.  I'll probably start off with the API method, but I'm likely to progress toward the "Connect" (Hosted Payment Form) method and also integration of FD's tokenization service for recurring payments (scheduled / non-scheduled).

PCI DDS Compliance seems to be pointing this direction, and might as well get it done now.

So, just to be clear. Work involved in using the First Data existing code - an hour or 2 to get it installed, configured & running.

Work involved in switching to the other method - between 15 & 50 hours. (I don't expect these things to take 50 hours but I've started insisting on people having that sort of budget before I start writing code in case as payment processors can be very variable due to the fact that you are interfacing with a third party product. So if you plan to do coding of the new method you should be prepared for it to be a lengthy exercise.)

Aye, it's probably going to cost a bit, but I have several clients I can spread the cost over, so I should be fine.

What are your thoughts about tokenization, relating them to contact records, using CiviMember to initiate automatic renewals using the stored token, and initiating manual contributions/payments using the token from the backend by the admin and from the frontend by the user?
