Numerous errors - will fresh install work?

We have upgraded step by step over the last two days from 2.0.5 to the latest version of Civicrm. Its been tricky but we have a semi working database now!

However we keep getting random errors here and there things like:

>Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

DB Error: a515ac9c2796ca0e23adbe92c68fc9fc

Database Error Code: Can't create/write to file '/dev/shm/#sql_38a8_0.MYD' (Errcode: 24), 1

And random pages like when we click on Civicrm home it links to (site address)index.php?q=civicrm/user&reset=1 which will sometimes work and sometimes says Page not found.

We are wondering if some of the errors are due to our webhost which has been up and down like a yoyo lately.

I would be most grateful on advice on the following:

If we set up a brand new version of drupal, civicrm now on our other server. Could we now export the database and simply import it into the new set up? Any advice would be appreciated. I do feel some of our problems are likely because our web host and mysql database keeps going offline.

Two of those errors sound like possible database corruption issues. You might want to check out the DB Troubleshooting tools described here:

Thanks Dave, much appreciated. Our servers mysql server has been up and down so much over the last few days its pretty crazy. Seems that when the server is up all the links work fine.

I think we will go for moving to a more reliable host.
