Hey guys, have a CiviCRM/Drupal install running at PABA.com.

We've got our Membership Contribution page creating a CiviCRM contact and a CiviCRM member record, but how do I have it create a Drupal site user simultaneously? And can I assign them the "member" Drupal role in the same step?

The Drupal user can easily be in the form "FirstName LastName", since Drupal users on this site can change their own usernames once they log in.

P.s., The Civi install I have running seems rather slow--and it's running on a pretty resource-laden VPS--any tips/links for speeding it up?

You can either "force" or "invite" anonymous users to get a Drupal account while filling in the membership/contribution page. You'll need to include a profile in the page (which you're probably already doing). Then, go to the "Settings" for that Profile, expand "Advanced Setting" and select the "Drupal account creation option" you want to use.
