CiviMail reports sending, but no email received
June 08, 2009, 05:21:28 pm
I just moved my Drupal/Civi installation from my old host to a new host. The DNS has completely cutover and almost everything is working correctly. All CiviSMTP configuration is exactly the same as it was on the old host. The only difference is that port 20095 is not blocked on my new host.

I just tried sending an email through CiviMail, and CiviMail reported the mails as sent. However, I didn't receive the email at all. I'm not sure where else to look for errors, and if the problem is likely to be with CiviSMTP or CiviMail or what.

The "Test settings" options in my CiviSMTP account returns green for all items.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, or help me figure out where the email is getting lost?

the last connection attempt we have in our logs is from:

Fri Mar 06 14:48:17 2009

we have no record of tcwc sending any emails after that nor do we have any records of connection attempts after the above date.

please recheck all passwords in your civicrm installation and make sure they are correct and try again.

That would make sense since our old host had port 20095 blocked... but I'm not sure why the requests didn't go through from my new host. I'll review my configuration. Thanks

I did find some inconsistencies in my configuration... after fixing those, I am able to send mailings on my new host.  However, I am still getting the following error when running the test from my CiviSMTP Account Settings page:

Civimail User Check : it appears that the proxy URL that you gave is invalid

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want my account suspended because the proxy isn't working correctly.

Re: CiviMail reports sending, but no email received

I am experiencing some issues with CIVICRM 4.05 in using CiviMail.  The From Email is configured correctly in the system, the Bounce email is configured as well.  I have a cron job set up for the following to run every 5 minutes.

wget 'http://<MYSITE>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/bin/civimail.cronjob.php?name=<USERNAME>&pass=<PASSWORD>&key=<MYSITEKEY>'
wget 'http://<MYSITE>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/bin/EmailProcessor.php?name=<USERNAME>&pass=<PASSWORD>&key=<MYSITEKEY>'
wget 'http://<MYSITE>/cron.php?cron_key=<MYDRUPALSITEKEY>'

When I schedule an email within CiviMail the cron jobs run fine and the system reports the email was sent successfully but no emails are ever received by the recipients. The same goes for using the Send Test Email features before submitting the bulk mail.

I enabled the mailing debug definition in the civicrm.settings.php file as: (define( 'CIVICRM_MAIL_LOG', '/MY/SITES/HOME/DIRECTORY/MYSITE.ORG/sites/default/files/civicrm/templates_c/mail.log' );

I attempted to send a bulk message again through civiMail and the messages were logged to the mail.log file without any problems.

I really could use some help on this as soon as possible to why the emails are not being sent.  My mail configuration is using the PHP mail(); method not SMTP or sendMail

The weird thing is I got one bulk message to work but than never again after that.  I also recently upgraded from Drupal 6.22 to 7.8 and CiviCRM 3.x to 4.05 last week.

Thank you in advance for any help!
