Manage Events/ Registration Page Glitch
June 08, 2009, 05:29:40 pm
Here is a problem that I have that I do not know how to fix:

I have a multi-site setup (4 sites working) on my Mac using MAMP.  (Drupal 6.12 and Civicrm 2.2.5) One site has a glitch and this glitch remained when I also moved the problem site to another computer running XAMPP.

The glitch:
1. When I go to the 'Manage Events' page (http://example.org/civicrm/event/manage?reset=1)  the 'Show Current and Upcoming Events' radio button does not seem to work.  It always will load with all of the events, past and present, active or not.

2.  When I go to the registration page (http://example.org/civicrm/contact/view/participant?reset=1&action=add&cid=1&context=participant)  the event drop down always shows the full list of events, past and current.  So, in essence, the '» Include past event(s) in this select list.' link below this drop down has already been activated as true.

The other sites I have set up do not have this same glitch, they are working properly.

I have tried to reset menus and clear caches.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tripp

Tripp:

Have you done any custom modification to your site? Also check if you are using any custom templates. (Administer CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Directories)

Kurund,

Thanks for the reply.

There is no path designated under custom templates in Admin>Global Settings>Directories.

I did add some custom data (called Additional Event Information) to the events, i.e., Speaker and Event Sponsor.

Thanks,

Tripp

One more piece of information.

On one of the other sites in the same MAMP/Drupal,/CiviCRM setup also has custom data under the events and that one is working correctly.

Having custom data should not be a problem. Can you replace all CiviCRM files with latest files from fresh tarball and check if that solves your problem

Kurund,

Thanks again.

I found the problem.  I had imported events from a csv file originally.  I had imported the start_date but not any end_date.  The function works on the end_date, not on the 'active' status that I had assumed.  Now that I add end_dates to the events, the glitch is fixed.

Thanks again for your help.
