Problems displaying > 3 locations
August 07, 2007, 09:21:01 am
I am adding contacts to CiviCRM 1.7.9821 using the API. I have created a series of additional location types (Location_01 ... Location_12) and bumped the allowable no. of addresses per contact to 15.

The addresses are inserted into the DB correctly, but a maximum of three (Main, Location_01, Location_02) show up on the contact view. Whassup?

This should be fixed in 1.8

Note that having 15 locations will make edit/view contact quite slow. The edit form will also be ridiculously large

The contact display works properly in CiviCRM 1.8.beta.10676 -- thanks!

I'm using this many addresses to handle local retail chains (which are not well matched to the default address management) -- the alternative would be to create separate records and use relationships, but our client wants to treat multiple locations through one organization record.
