Payment Processor Data Missing (Moneris)
June 09, 2009, 09:04:02 am
Hello,

We are currently evaluating using CiviCRM in our organization (mainly CiviContribute and CiviEvent). In the process of testing, I noticed that when donating or registering for an event and paying via credit card the actual item/donation being purchased is never passed along to our payment processor (Moneris).

So on our accounting/merchant side of things when we print receipts or log in to check transactions it is impossible to tell what each transaction was actually for! There is just a Transaction Amount and an Order ID. The item details, description and product code are empty.

Is there some configuration I'm missing? How can I get CiviCRM to pass along such information to Moneris. This is a major roadblock in our use of CiviCRM.

Thanks!

You will need to tweak the moneris payment processor code to send in more information from the form if you want to send in those details.

I assume you mean the premium information that the user selects. this will require some amount of php knowledge. another alternative might be to do an export from civicontribute with all the premium information ncluding transaction amount and order ID. THis should also work

Darn, I was hoping there would be an easier way.

I guess I'll have to hack up the Moneris module :(

I'm familiar with PHP, but unfamiliar with the CiviCRM project. Does anyone have any recommendation on what the best way to approach this problem is?

Is there documentation describing payment processor modules and the interface they are expected to expose?

Thanks,

- Dan

Hi, Sorry to re-open this topic but I have the same problem. Is there anybody who know how to fix it?

Thanks!
