civiEvent is sending multiple registration emails

Hi,
we have an event setup using the online registration feature. Everything works well, but the user (registrant) receives 6 identical registration emails. For now we are running this event page without registration emails   ;) ... but a registration email is preferred.
Has anyone seen this before? Any hints are appreciated.

There was a bug in the 2.2.4 release in this area (the release was pulled after a few hours - http://civicrm.org/node/571). The bug caused email confirmations to be sent ALL participants each time someone registered. Any chance you're using 2.2.4?

If not, do you have profile(s) embedded in the Event Registration which have Notify on Submit enabled (not sure if this would cause such behavior - but worth checking)?

Thanks for the hint - that was it. Upgraded to 2.2.5 and it works like a charm  :D
Guess I'll have to stay closer to the news updates...
