Can views show labels not values for custom data?

Hi there,

I'm using views with custom data (which is great by the way) but the custom data shows the field label, not the field value.  Any reason why that is the case?  Can I configure it it show the value in the interface?  I'll have a go at patching this if we can agree on an improvement.
