outbound smtp configuration in civievent

Hi ,

When i am sending mail it giving error for smtp configuration
It is smtp/25.
But my site is on public ip.How can i resolve this error.
Please reply.

You should be testing this using Admin CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Outbound Email - Send Test Email button. You should get an explicit error message. Your next step is to do a search on this forum for that error message - you'll probably find some helpful posts.
