I have a multisite setup and I'm running the installation file from inside the site/site.com/modules direction. It's for an installation of Civi that's only for this site, which is not the main URL install of site. This URL is one of the sites that uses the core code.

Everything checks out ok on the evaluation on the install.php, but when I run the install if gives me an error that says:

Code: [Select]

Cannot open mysql://USERNAME:PASSWORD@localhost/cedarsda_civ?new_link=true: DB Error: connect failed

How can I get this cleared up so I can continue with the install.

Error indicate that this particular db user does not have rights to access database. Can you check it.
