Request Error: 111 Connection refused for CiviEvent iCAL feed
August 08, 2007, 12:17:49 pm
I have tested three CiviEvent iCAL feeds.

CiviCRM demo does work: http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal/civicrm/event/ical?reset=1&page=1

This CiviEvent iCAL feed does not work: http://civicrm181.civicspaceondemand.com/civicrm/event/ical?reset=1&page=1

nor does this one: http://csod-demo.civicspaceondemand.org/civicrm/event/ical?reset=1&page=1

I am using the lastest Date and Calendar module from Drupal CVS on CivicSpaceOnDemand.  The feeds are from two separate servers.

The events are active and public.

Any ideas about what is wrong with our configuration of the CiviEvent iCAL feeds?

I should have mentioned both sites are 1.8 beta.

Visual inspection of the feeds that "aren't working" doesn't turn up anything - they look like valid iCal feeds. Did a quick Google on that error message and it seems like it's Apache / webserver related error. Does the Apache log provide any clues?

I have the same problem with a CivicSpaceOnDemand site. Adding the following iCal feed to my Drupal calendar results in the "111 Connection refused" message:
http://www.massclimateaction.net/civicrm/event/ical?reset=1&page=1

However the following CivicRM demo iCal feed works just fine in my calendar:
http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal/civicrm/event/ical?reset=1&page=1

Thanks!

Make sure your "anonymous" role has the "register for events" permission. This is necessary because the calendar module is not making an authenticated request for the iCal feed.
