Hello,

Running CiviCRM 2.2.5 on Juoomla 1.5.11 on MySQL 5.0.67, PHP 5.2.9.

When test-driving an event in CiviEvent by clicking on the "Registar Now,"  I get the following error message.
     
                                                  Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
                                                      is not of type String

Any indication of what could be the probelm.

What's the URL for that link? Are you testing in the back-end (admin site), or did you create a front-end menu for this event?

I have tested in the back-end (admin site).  Have not tested it in the front-end until now.

I have enabled the debugging function in CiviCRM and posted a link on the front-end as well.  You can link to it directly through this link: http://www.stargue.com/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/register&id=4&reset=1

hi Angelo,

It seems like this bug is related to discount settings for your event page.
( to get event working -> delete - recreate related discount )

Would be good if you create same discount setting on public demo and try to replicate here : http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/
If issue persists give exact steps to replicate.

I have been able to resolve this problem.

MySQL installation was corrupt to begin with.  Then I converted the CiviCRM tables in my Joomla installation to INNODB Engine.  Now it is working fine.  Still testing.
