Admin Merged Account with wrong individual record

The administrator for the website somehow managed to merge her drupal user account with one of the individual records.  She only discovered this when the emails were being sent as "from Kari Smith" instead of "from admin@bla.com".  How do I disconnect the user account and the individual record?  I can't really delete or move either since they are associated with a lot of stuff in the db.

1. fix the uf_match record and link admin@bla.com to her real contact record (create a new one if needed)

2. undo all admin actions either via UI or via db queries on kari's record
