Two CiviCRM profiles with Drupal user account?
June 18, 2009, 02:05:13 pm
I created a profile in civicrm named "Registration Profile" and have it used for drupal user registration. That works fine.

I also created another profile in civicrm for household information named "Household Info", and made it available for registration also. I now have the Registration Profile fields on the new user registration page and on the "View User" page, and 3 tabs on the "Edit User" page, "Account", Registration Profile", and "Household Info".

The Account tab has the normal Drupal account info (username, password, signature, etc.), the Registration Profile tab has all the CiviCRM Registration Profile info, but the household tab has no information or place to enter it, only save and delete buttons.

I would like to have users able to update there own Household Info from their user profile page. Is this not possible?

This is not possible in the current versions of CiviCRM

Ideally the registration setting should allow you to only choose individual fields and not household fields

And yet, if I have the household profile configured for registration in CiviCRM, a tab will be displayed for it on the drupal user account edit page. Is that normal behavior?

I read somewhere on the CiviCRM site that a new version will allow household designations at time of registration, is that right?

Thanks for your help.

1. the household profile being displayed for registration is a bug. If important to you, please file a patch that fixes it

2. no

I'd like to be able to. At this point, my php coding skills are limited, and I'm still learning my way around both Drupal and CiviCRM.

Thanks.

a pretty nifty solution for this came up on IRC earlier today, check:

http://civicrm.org/node/587

You'll need some familiarity with civicrm to make those changes. Note that we have not tested those changes, but the idea/logic behind those changes is quite cool

I am having a similar issue where I am seeing 2 profiles on my Drupal User page.  I have 2 profiles, one for different membership types: "Job Seeker" & "Employer".  But no matter what my Drupal Role or CiviCRM Membership status, I see both profiles listed on my Drupal User page.  Both profiles use a combination of Individual and Contact fields (no Org or Household).

I have the CiviRoles Sync module working so that when a CiviCRM contact signs up for Membership, they are assigned a corresponding Drupal Role.  How can I make it so that only Members of the appropriate Role or Membership see the corresponding Profile?

Thanks.
