Custom Data not showing in profiles

Hi,
I am trying to create Profiles using the fields I have created in Custom Data. For some reason they are not showing at the moment. Does anyone know why this is? I have tried creating a variety of different Custom Data fields using Contacts, Individuals, Relationships, etc., data but when I then go to create the Profile these options are not available.

I have read through the CiviCRM help guide and here it explains that this is possible, and seems quite straightforward according to the guide.

If anyone can please help me with this I will be eternally grateful!!

Can you confirm if your custom fields are enabled ?

So, do you not see ANY custom fields at all available for your profiles? I would focus on creating profiles with only contact data fields while you are trying to get them going as they are the most generic

(ie. you can have contact  data fields & individual data fields in the same profile or you can have contact fields & organization fields in the same profile but you can't have individual fields in the same profile as organization fields)

I finally realised the problem. It was because the Custom Data groups had been enabled to 'allow multiple records'. I have just created a new Custom Data group without this enabled and it works perfectly fine.

Is there anyway around this tho? Has anyone done any work on using PHP code to create a Profile which could be used for Custom Data with multiple records? If anyone knows of a possible workaround, can they please let me know if that would be extremely useful!
