In the Communication Preferences section, methods can be added and edited. It would be great if privacy has the same functionality.
I think it makes more sense if privacy is consistent with the methods. Hope you guys agree with me.

The schema for the privacy settings is currently "hard-coded" (there's a column in civicrm_contact for each "do not..." option) - and there's business rules in the codebase which use these settings (mostly "do not email"). This means this is a non-trivial change and not currently on our roadmap.

What specific use cases do you have which require this additional flexibility?

We have a requirement specifically for 'Do not phone about donations', where people are happy to be contacted by phone for other types of calls.
