[Resolved] Problems creating and syncing members w/Drupal 6.12
June 24, 2009, 05:18:32 am
Okay, so I recently upgraded to the latest version of CiviCRM (to my knowledge, which is 2.2.6) and I am running Drupal 6.12 on my site. I have it set up so that members create an account (and drupal login) via the 'become a member' made by CiviCRM. For some reason, after having upgraded, it has begun having problems. Here are the symptoms:

1. Whenever signing up, it insists that you didn't fill in the state, even if you did and makes you redo it
2. After you get past the initial screen, and then click continue after having reviewed the account data, it takes you to the main page of the website with an error saying "The CAPTCHA field is required." .. even though there is no Captcha field given....
3. While it saves the info inputted to CiviCRM, it never creates a drupal account for that membership.

Any help or suggestions in what may be the problem are greatly appreciated. I thought that it might be that I hadn't changed the info on drupal after I updated drupal, but after I updated the info under CiviCRM's global settings, the membership signup still didn't work - with the same problems as listed above.

Thanks in advance.

Well, it appears that a lot of people have looked at this thread. So, since I've figured out what the problem was, I feel I should probably note that it has been resolved and what was wrong. I installed Mollom onto my Drupal site to ensure some extra security. Apparently, if left on default, it will require a Captcha me completed by the person creating an account (which is never seen... and I have ReCaptcha running on the CiviCRM member creation page). You will never see it and it will prevent a new Drupal account from being created, but the CiviCRM data will be entered. After I turned off the Captcha requirement for new accounts on Mollom it worked just fine!
