I have been having problems configuring my Access Control Groups to work properly with permissions and ACLs. Is there anyone out there that can help me figure out what I am doing wrong?

1.This is what I am doing, setting up to groups, Marketing  Contacts and Economic Justice Contacts. Adding members.
2. Creating groups Economic Justice User and Marketing User. Adding the contacts which are synchronized to users in the database.
3. Creating Economic Justice and Marketing roles.
4. Giving permissions to Economic Justice role to edit Economic Justice Contacts, and Marketing role to edit Marketing Contacts groups.
5. Assigning the groups Economic Justice User to the role Economic Justice and  Marketing User to the Marketing role.

The Drupal Acess Control permissions are set to default for authenticated user for each of the users in the user groups.

Still when logging in I can access all the records instead of only the Marketing or Economic Justice groups when logged in as the respective user types.

Any help you can provide will be appreciated. I have been trying this for several days with no luck. I did see an earlier post with an identical issue, but there was no resolution for that post.
