Author Topic: CiviMail Links in Test Mailings (Read 913 times)

I am trying to get to the bottom of a little link issue. I do the following in 2.2.5:

Follow CiviMail Wizard up to the point where I can send a test mailing.
Send a test mailing to me.
Links work fine.
Send another test mailing to another staff person.
Links don't work. Instead they just redirect to our site home page.

But if instead of doing 2 individual test emails I send to a group, again links work fine.

So since CiviMail is rebuilding URLs to redirect a person through our site and then back out to the external site, is this some weird cache issue in that the second test email I sent is rebuilding it a second time and it doesn't know what to do with it? trying to understand exactly what's going on back there.

The same happened on our site. I think I figured out the pattern:

When I Send a Test Mailing, if the email exists in the CiviCRM contact database, then the links redirect properly to the URL that I set. If the email DOESN'T exist in the db, then the links go back to our site.
