Joomla 1.5 Compatibility
August 10, 2007, 03:15:33 am

I read on Joomla.org when browsing through the Extentions that CiviCRM is compatible with Joomla 1.5
but this was said about CiviCRM 1.7 .
Is CiviCRM 1.8 also compatible with Joomla 1.5?
Are there any known (major) bugs that come up when using CiviCRM with Joomla 1.5?

I know this question might sound silly, but I want to build a page with Joomla 1.5
and I have to make sure that the components I want to use will work.

So I'm grateful for any answers  :)

CiviCRM v1.8 should work with Joomla 1.5.  It worked for me and also for few CiviCRM Joomla users. :)

May I ask who you host with? I'm trying to find a host that will let me install Joomla 1.5 and CiviCRM 1.8.

Thanks

Check the community-created hosting directory and please make sure to update anything you learn (its a wiki):

Please note that each RC (release candidate) of Joomla has brought with it compatibility issues for CiviCRM. There appears to be work-arounds/code fixes that can be done to address these - but I don't consider CiviCRM 1.9/Joomla 1.5 to be a stable combination YET.
