CiviCase for Multi-Orgs

We're going to be doing a trial that involves setting up some multi-org ACLs to handle the case of a national organization with subsidiary organizations looking after parts of the territory. The subsidiary organization do case work, and would like to not only the contacts and their related cases accessible only to contacts with rights to view and edit contacts in that sub-territory, but also to have different staff persons listed as the Case Resources in each office. I don't see this feature currently incorporated, although I was under the impression that there were multiple offices in the organization that is the development partner for CiviCase. I also can't see it in the Candidate feature lists, but perhaps I missed something. If not, would it be hard to implement?

The CiviCase sponsor (PHP-BC) has only one office. (There are other PHP's in each province - but they are not yet using CiviCase and if they do it will be separate installs AFAIK.)

I think the basic ACL's on contact groups SHOULD work to segregate access to clients and cases - but I'm pretty sure no one has gone down that road yet, so you'll be pioneering this.

As far as the Case Resources issue, the group of contacts listed as Case Resources is currently configured in a global Settings.xml file - so work is definitely needed to support configuring different resource "groups" for different subsidiary organizations. This might tie nicely into the multi-org work currently in progress for 2.3 (which is linking subsidiary orgs to groups).
