install versions

OK after 4 upgrade attempts the past month+ I went with the latest 2.2.7 today and I uninstalled everything to do a fresh install rather than an upgrade.  Problem previously was that after "upgrading" my joomla admin would always say 2.2.3 even after getting a successful install message.  So I thought today would solve everything...

the first attachment is of what I see in the Admin>Installer>Components list

the second is of what I see in the Admin>Components>CiviCRM>CiviCRM Home screen

Two things:

1) Did you uninstall the component before reinstalling? And did you run the upgrade script utility after installing (there's a link and note after the installation)?

2) Try deleting: /media/civicrm/custom_c/en_US/

That folder contains cache files. Clearing it out will force a new page load.

yes I uninstalled.  I also went through the directories to make sure there were no remnant files and completely wiped the database tables.  I also cleared all of the cache files, however I did not know to look in /media/civicrm...

so that did the trick.  Thank You!
