See groups in search results?
July 07, 2009, 10:09:12 am
Is it possible to see the groups a contact is a member of in the search results screen?  I'm totally new to civicrm and looking for a way to configure or customize this.

hello,
I don't know what version of civicrm you are using, so this might not be available to you but, in civicrm 2.2.x there is a link for "custom searches". If you click on that link you will see a custom search called "Include/Exclude Contacts in a Group/tag". I believe this will give you the results that you seek. You could then export those results to excel if you wish.

Hope this helps,
Cynthia

By the way. It would be very helpful if you would update your profile on this forum, with the version of civicrm etc... that you are using. This makes it easier for folks to help you.

I dont think that custom search will do exactly what you want, but you can implement a custom search that gives you the contact details along with all the groups that the contact is part of
