Contribute Question - additional data field

Can you suggest how I would retain a contributor's email address for future use in a newsletter during the process the user making a donations?

I have not yet had the chance to look at civiCRMs other civiMail modue but I plan to use it for newsletters and I wish to capture the users email perhaps as a check box that says subscribe to our newsletter?

I would recommend that you read the new (free) online book - Understanding CiviCRM - which will give you the background you need for this and other related tasks.
