Problem upgrading from 2.2.0 to 2.2.7
July 08, 2009, 10:39:13 am
Hi,
I have Joomla 1.5.10, MySQL 5.1 and PHP 5. I was trying to upgrade from 2.2.0 to 2.2.7 but having some problems. I am using the alt version as I have no zip functionality on the server. After trying to install from directory twice and getting a blank screen, I decided to go to the http://<your_joomla_home>/administrator/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/upgrade&reset=1 page to see if it had recognised an install. It asked me if I wanted to upgrade so I said yes, but now when I load up CiviCRM there is only a heading showing for CiviReports in the Administer CiviCRM tab and if I try and install from directory again I get this message:

Your PHP version is missing zip functionality. Please ask your system administrator / hosting provider to recompile PHP with zip support.
If this is a new install, you will need to uninstall CiviCRM from the Joomla Extension Manager.

What is the best thing for me to do to get the new install up and running. Should I start a fresh install and migrate everything over? Or is there a simpler way of rectifying this?

Please see this link: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,7275.msg31914.html#msg31914

If you try the standard install and THEN the alternate install, but don't clean up first, then the civicrm.zip file will still be present, and the installation logic will give you the error about a lack of ZIP functionality.

I too ran into that issue and removing that file saved my bacon.  After the upgrade though, I do not see a CiviReports Tab in Administrator.

Any suggestions?

Dwiding :
You might want to check settings on your Administer CiviCRM → Global Settings →  Enable Components,
whether CiviReport has been enabled.

Checked there before, not an option on the left to Enable and is not listed on the right as being enabled.

Just Upgraded to 2.2.7 last night on Joomla 1.5.
