Applying Contributions to Pledges

Is there an availability of applying contributions to pledges?  Also has making partial or over-payments been added to civiPledge?

When importing contributions we use an "is pledge payment" column in the CSV import file to mark which contributions are payments for pledges. I kinda remember that CiviPledge allows payments for be accepted by hand (and these are contributions) - have you checked the Documentation link at the top of this page to see what it says about pledge payments?

I responded to the partial / overpayments question here:
http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,5588.msg37965.html#msg37965

Contributions are applied to pledges both online and offline. For offline contributions - a staff member goes to the pledge record (Find Pledges) and clicks "Record Payment" (or "Submit Credit Card Payment" if available with your selected payment processor).

For online contributions - donors are sent a "pledge due" reminder email automatically (via background processing script) which includes a link to a form where they can make their "next payment".
