Examples of Excel Spreadsheets that have been successfully imported

Does anyone have examples of Excel Spreadsheets (i.e. the data categories, formats, etc) that have been successfully imported to CiviCRM? 

The tutorial on this topic starts with already having the spreadsheet in perfect categories, if that makes sense...

ONe way to get the perfiect 'import' is to start off by doing the perfect 'export' ie create some contacts with all the relevant variations of fields and options - then you know what the 'import' data should look like - hth
