Mails scheduling but not sending
July 12, 2009, 05:37:01 pm
I've found a couple of topics concerning this, but I have yet to find anything that works. The test e-mails are going through fine. When I send the e-mail though, it just schedules but never sends. I've seen people suggest setting up a Cronjob, but I have no experience with that and nothing I did seem to make a difference. I'm at my wits end. I'm using Gmail to send my e-mail, which results in a lot of copy and pasting and it's uber annoying. I'd love to get some simple directions on what to do to fix this thing. Are there multiple issues or just one major fix or can anyone tell me from the information I am providing?

instructions for setting up a cronjob are documented on the wiki:

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/CiviMail+Installation#CiviMailInstallation-SettingUptheCronJob

if you need more information on cronjobs and how to configure them, please do a websearch. (i suspect there are a few good tutorials on it, above and beyond what we can explain)

if you still need help, consider using CiviSMTP or hiring someone from: http://civicrm.org/professional/
