Passing values to PayPal Website Payments Pro
July 13, 2009, 07:54:58 am
Hello,

We are preparing to rollout a new event registration site using Drupal 6, Civi2.2.6, and PayPal Website Payments Pro as our payment processor. We have sandbox accounts setup and have processed several test transactions sucessfully, the issue we are having is that there is no way to see which payments go to which events on the PayPal side. On PayPal site there is an option to download detailed transaction info as .csv and Event Name \ Event ID fields available, however Civi is not populating those fields. Has anyone figured out how to pass this information or is there an easier way to see which payments belong to which events on the PayPal side?

Thanks

Donald Lobo

you can modify the paypal code and hence all the parameters sent to paypal in this file:

CRM/Core/Payment/PayPalImpl.php

function doDirectPayment

if you do make the changes, can you please file an issue along with a patch and if general enough, we'll incorporate into the next release
