Hi,

I'm creating a contribution page for membership signup/renewal. If a current member tries to renew his membership using this page, his current membership type and expiration date is shown on the right side of the list of all membership types. However, this doesn't work for Lifetime members. This is rather inconvenient: if a lifetime member accidentally jumps onto this page, he doesn't get a reminder of his current membership status. I wonder if there's anyway to correct this? Thanks!

Out-of-the-box, only membership types which are configured to be displayed on a particular contribution page will display current membership status. I assume that your Lifetime membership has "Admin" visibility and is not included on the contribution page - so membership status is also not shown.

I suspect you could use the buildForm hook + custom template to add a separate "field" which checks for Lifetime membership and displays a status message. Might be some other more elegant ways to redirect lifetime members as well (perhaps in conjunction with Civimember roles module ??).
