Error when importing date of death

When I import a CSV file with a date of death specified, I get the error:
Invalid value for field(s) : Deceased Date

Event though I am using the same date format as date of birth. If I clear the values for the deceased date column, then the CSV imports fine. ( including the column for "is deceased" )

I get exactly the same error message when I use demo.civicrm.org. I tried it on both the Joomla and Drupal demos. You can download the spreadsheet I used from http://www.gladstone.info/import_people_broken.csv
